The time trial is called "the race of truth" and the truth is, no one expected this today. Gerolsteiner rider Stefan Schumacher takes the TT title today in Cholet, and grabs the overall lead after four days of the Tour de France. The TT shakes up the standings, and the biggest loser has to be Alejandro Valverde. The Spanish star won the first stage and wore the yellow jersey earlier this week, but he loses nearly a minute and a half to the leader today. The biggest winner...Aussie Cadel Evans. A solid 4th place today put him in perfect position for the rest of the race. |
