When you ask Christian Vande Velde about his best days, and his worst days on the bike, he recalls memories of competing in Belgium's Fleche Wallonne race, and struggling on the climbs the same day Floyd Landis blew up in the 2006 Tour de France.

And his absolute best day?

Christian says he is still waiting for that one perfect day, the day when it all comes together for him. That could be part of the reason why the Garmin-Slipstream team captain keeps riding his bike, and competing at the elite level.
